The Ongley Institute - Back, Neck & Joint Pain Center Dr. Milne J. Ongley, Director

Conditions Treated

If you are suffering from pain and/or dysfunction in any part of your musculoskeletal system, we are likely to be able to rid you of your pain and reestablish normality to your joints and muscles.

Many of you have been to various doctors already.  Some may have helped you, some temporarily, others were unsuccessful.  They may have been finely trained orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, doctors of osteopathy (D.O.), chiropractors, rolfers, deep tissue massage therapists, physical therapists or any of the other alternative medical practitioners that are available to you.

If you have been told that that ache in you knee is because you are now “bone on bone” as the x-ray shows that you have lost all of your cartilage and are a candidate for knee replacement, we can stimulate the regeneration of the cartilage in your knee by the cells that make cartilage but for whatever reasons have been denied their nutritional flow.  We will also regenerate the ligaments that stabilize your knee, hip or whichever joints are involved.  With our treatment method and you rehabilitative efforts you can naturally regenerate your musculoskeletal system and avoid the dangers of surgery which include, infection, anaesthesia and the very real need for revision of any prosthetic joint.

If you have rotator cuff problems, we will help you non-surgically.  The same applies to your neck, back, low back, elbows, wrists (carpel tunnel syndrome).  Perhaps you have been told you have “fibromyalgia” or “sciatica”.  These too can be healed without surgery.

Ok, so how do we do this?  How is it that you and many others have been to so many doctors, perhaps even to a “prolotherapist.”  Some think that we are “prolotherapists”, but we are not.

Yes, we do utilise a “proliferant” in our work, but that does not make us prolotherapists just as an orthopaedic surgeon who realigns a bony dysfunction, such as a dislocated shoulder is not a chiropractor.

Truly, this field is full of confusion, misdiagnoses and poorly standardized definition.  But as you will see in our “History of Orthopaedic Medicine” section , this work we do is the logical extension of overlooked work performed from the 1800’s onward.

What can you expect if you decide to visit us?

The clinic overlooks the ocean and is filled with people who will be happy to share their experiences with you.  Our staff is fully bilingual (English/Spanish) and eager to assist you in any way.
